Stage 18 – Giro d’Italia completed

Today’s 222km Stage 18 from Valdaora/Olang to Santa Maria Di Sala was extremely uninspiring from a riding perspective however it’s over and tomorrow is a new day, so let’s move on.. The most positive things were seeing the stunning Dolomite Mountains at sun rise plus the beautiful towns we rode through. There were also big crowds of people lining the road side towards the end… It was also great seeing Stuey O’Grady leading his team towards the finish line.
Total kilometers cycled for the 18 Stages of the Giro is 3,271 with 45,956 meters climbed.
We head back into the mountains tomorrow for the 151km Stage 19 from Treviso to San Martino Di Castrozza.
Many thanks for all your kind posts of support, together we’ll get this done.
