Stage 1 – Tour de France completed

The first 135km of the 195km loop from Brussels to Brussels is wild, insanely wild! Even though the course twists through city and suburban streets awash with street furniture, potholes and cobblestones, it is most certainly a very fast stage being so relatively flat. Just staying upright will be key and especially in the first 50km. The long cobble sections are crazy brutal on another level.
It most certainly should be a very explosive and spectacular start to the 2019 Tour de France.
Personally I feel very strong and look forward to building on the base gained from riding the Giro.
Our little GTP Team is working well together and we’re looking forward to the time trial tomorrow.
